The way we were.
There are small wars going on all over the place. After world war two people did what they called a fair days work for a fair days pay, and many were happy with that but there was always one who with no other qualifications but a big mouth and a forceful nature would cause unrest among the people telling them he could make things better, make them richer.

Soldiers or not.
When it comes to war lets face it like with every thing else some are cut out to be soldiers others are not. I have lost a son and i have two grandsons i do not want them to fight a war and i would do all i could to stop them going to war if i could. I have never had the good fortune to have that some thing many take for granted a proper family life and i never knew any of my blood relatives. Those boys are every thing to me.
